Creating Art
Kori’s artistic journey began with wildlife on canvas, but her style shifted forever the day she rearranged fallen leaves and sticks into the shape of a deer. The concept of creating artwork for nature, by nature felt like home.
This led her to trade paint for the raw textures of the wild. While many are heartbroken by the ephemeral life of her creations, for Kori, returning the art to the earth is the most rewarding part of the process.
And when she isn’t creating art, she's in the water saving sea turtles.
Saving Sea Turtles
Whether it’s with a leaf or a datasheet in hand, Kori’s life is a tribute to the natural world. As a wildlife artist and a research biologist with East Coast Biologists, Inc, she balances her time between creating intricate nature artworks and conducting in-water population studies to monitor the health of Florida's sea turtles. From the quiet of the forest to the reef filled seas, Kori’s work both on land and the water is dedicated to the protection and celebration of wildlife.
